Ingredients
Refrigerated crescent roll dough or puff pastry 1 sheet
Brie cheese 6 oz (170 g)
Cranberry sauce 1/2 cup
Fresh rosemary, finely chopped 1 teaspoon
Chopped pecans 1/4 cup
Honey 1 tablespoon
Freshly ground black pepper Small pinch
Cooking spray For the pan
Instructions
Refrigerator: Store cooled bites in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
Freezer: Freeze fully baked bites in a single layer until firm, then transfer them to a freezer-safe container. Freeze for up to 1 month.
For expert guidance on preserving and freezing foods safely, visit the National Center for Home Food Preservation.
Reheating: Reheat refrigerated or frozen bites in a 350°F oven until warm and crisp. Avoid microwaving when possible because the pastry can become soft.
Make Ahead: Assemble the bites several hours ahead, cover, and refrigerate. Bake just before serving.
Notes
Brie: You can use a small wheel or wedge of Brie. The rind is edible, but you can remove it if you prefer a smoother filling.
Cranberry sauce: Homemade or canned whole-berry cranberry sauce works. Whole-berry sauce adds a nice texture.
Pastry: Puff pastry gives the bites a flaky, crisp texture. Crescent roll dough makes them slightly softer and very easy to prepare.
Pecans: Pecans add crunch and pair beautifully with Brie and cranberry. Walnuts are an easy substitute.
Rosemary: Fresh rosemary adds a savory holiday flavor. Fresh thyme is another great option.
